Sorry, but it was a "first come, first serve" deal. Malinga had to drop out but Warruff sent me a PM a few hours before I sent the e-mail. I wouldn't expect the game to start until at least next week at the earliest, so someone still might drop out. You have first dibs.

If you don't get in and you're really interested in watching the game develop, I could attach my turnfiles to an e-mail and send it to ya. Just don't move my boys around and send the turnfile in to the GM!

I was only joking - I knew I was coming in late in the day with little chance of getting a space.

Seeing your turn files would be cool, if youhave time. It'd allow me to see how the whole thing works too, so if I do give it a go sometime I might not get wiped out in the first 2 rounds.

I have no idea. I submitted 12 but for some reason Orfeo was left out. I'll e-mail the GM tomorrow to find out what's going on.

As if I didn't feel bad enough about my chances ALREADY. Not only was I left out, but if I'm in, I get Poland which I seem to remember has never won a game!

Good thing I believe in miracles, because I'm going to need a whole string...

I just got home and checked my e-mail. I got a message from the GM saying:

"This is a note by the game moderator that you have been successfully added to the waiting list for the next game."

Maybe THIS is why Poland has never won...

I got that e-mail too and then a later one with the list and turn file. I have no idea what happened; according to my Headquarters I (Prussia) am already at war with Poland though. Like I said, I'll try to fix it today.

Another clue to my fate - I just looked up my history. By the time Napoleon was in charge of the French forces in 1796, Poland had ceased to exist - disappeared in 1795.

So, how's THAT for historical accuracy?
