Golly, the independent buffer zones aren't exactly evenly spread in this game like they were in the other one.

I got the Ottoman Empire. Neat, but I'm also at war with Poland.
Seems to me like the GM has set Poland to computer-controlled and made everybody at war with it so it's basically like a collection of independent provinces.
I'm going to be fascinated by the GM's response to no1's e-mail, that's for sure.
If I do get control, and I find I'm at war with everybody, expect a large number of peace offers!

You may be right. I understand that there were some major changes made in the game system because it was determined that the play balance was off-kilter with it being too easy for England and too hard for France. Perhaps it was decided that Poland was too weak to be included as a power since it hadn't survived to the end in the other games. I'm still waiting for a response and will let you know what happens.

All those timeouts occured some months ago. I'm currently taking on a small number of games and getting back into playing chess. I'm less likely to drop out of this particular game as I find the format more interesting than chess.
BTW, is everyone using RHP to communicate? I've been using the e-mail addresses given, but if people are only using those to check for game files...
