Question: I never owned a port in MD2, being landlocked, so I don't know how navies work. I'm sure France will be happy to know that! Anyway, can a navy in port be put to sea, load troops, move it's full movement, and then drop those troops off, all in the same turn? Or does it cost one or more movement points to put to sea from port?

It costs 1 MP to put to sea from a port. You can then load and move your fleet to the limits of its remaining MPs. Loading costs nothing but unloading uses up all your remaining MPs.

I got an e-mail from the GM saying "I will make the adjustment you requested". Orfeo should get a turnfile; let me know if you don't.

Wow, when I uploaded my orders for Napoleonic Empires, I got not only an email confirmation but it included a synopsis of all my orders for the turn as well. Pretty swanky.

Of course my orders this turn were pretty simple,

Phase 1: conquer England
Phase 2: conquer...well, you'll just have to wait and see.

NE Power Ratings at the start based on the same formula I used in MD:

1. France
2. England
3. Prussia
4. Russia
5. Austria
6. Ottomans
7. Sweden
8. Algeria
9. Bavaria
10. Spain
11. Naples
12. Poland

I couldn't find a Polish fleet - is there one (I know they're landlocked but that didn't matter in MD)?

The rebels invading England Herself? Don't make me laugh! Just like with those rebellious colonists in America, I WILL win in the end! Now bow down to your sovereign King, George the Third, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, etc

I shall look for with it eagerness!

However, assuming he/she doesn't attempt to restart the whole thing and I am (1) at war with everybody and (2) possibly fleetless, I shall be sending a somewhat cranky e-mail to make it abundantly clear that I think the GM still owes me big time.

(1) means it will take me two turns to make any alliances. Without independent provinces as buffers, I think that's a pretty serious disadvantage.

Spain's 10th?! What a bummer! Time for strategic negotiation.

Sorry, I didn't mean to focus on the negatives, and I trust you understand that none of my crankiness is directed at you.

An alternative view is the tax revenue base each country starts out with. In rank and assuming I haven't made any mistakes:
Russia - 110
France - 102
England - 100
Ottomans - 99
Prussia - 94
Austria - 91
Sweden - 70
Sicily - 70
Algeria - 63
Bavaria - 63
Poland - 39

I feel for you Orfeo. You really got the short straw. Better use some of that money to pay your diplomats overtime.

All those timeouts occured some months ago. I'm currently taking on a small number of games and getting back into playing chess. I'm less likely to drop out of this particular game as I find the format more interesting than chess.

BTW, is everyone using RHP to communicate? I've been using the e-mail addresses given, but if people are only using those to check for game files...

I mostly use RHP. I check the e-mail address once every few days, but I check RHP all the time.
