It would have to be Joy Division, but Bauhaus is better than both.

The reason why is that Joy Division sang the only song I can actually recognise, but Bauhaus sang: "Bela Lugosi's dead", probably one of the best songs ever written.

What do you mean "Joy Division sang the only song I can actually recognise" ?.

And The Beatles are better than all three but I don't really care about that. Just so you know. 😛

Well, I can't name any New Order songs. I do know "Love will tear us apart" though.

And the Beatles were over-rated.

Ok then. Thanks for your opinion. I'll file it under "uneducated". 😛

Well, one can only spend so much time listening to conceited semi-musicians acting depressed before one slits one's wrists.

I'm sure you could name 'blue monday'.

most of new order songs are pretty average though. not like the neverending golden shower of hits joy division was.

bela lugosi is dead is a great song though. have you heard roky erickson's 'night of the vampire'? it's not similar or anything, but it's just a great song.

here's an acoustic version, but it doesn't really do justice.

entombed's version gives a much better picture of its greatness.

You don't really. You're just being obstinate.

Joy Division...darker and creepier. Reminiscent of Morphine...another band I really liked.

To Shav: The Beatles were not overrated. 😠

Well, he probably realised is quasi-depressing songs were going out of fashion and he topped himself.

Best thing really, 'cause otherwise everyone would know "Love will tear us apart" as a Paul Young song...
