Make that "Words and Letters", I couldn't fit that into the title. Sorry it took me so long once again. And I'll be away from 3rd to 10th August, so the round will not open until 12th August. That may be just as well, as I am probably not the only one who is on holidays.
Some people have wondered what to do with this subject. Think creatively! You don't have to limit yourself to printed letters. If you wouldn't all be so tired of my aurora pictures, I might have sent in this picture, for example: http://home.online.no/~khgott/20020119-b11.html (the polar lights signed the sky with a P, or maybe it was Phlabibit).
You can enter up to three pictures for voting. Additionally, you can enter pictures you would like people to see and comment on outside the competition. Pictures in that section will be displayed on the same page, but people won't be allowed to vote for them. It's entirely up to you to decide which pictures you want to have in which section (voting / no voting), as long as you don't send more than three pictures for the voting section. Send your entries to rhpphotocomp@gmail.com , together with the following information:
* Title
* Comment: Advanced editing, for example removing or adding objects, use of special effect filters or major colour adjustments, must be mentioned. Other comments, for example details about the equipment and settings, basic editing or some background info on the picture, are optional, but encouraged. If in doubt whether something is basic or advanced editing, just ask, or even better, simply give a little more information than absolutely necessary.
* Your RHP nickname (that won't be revealed before the round is over)
* Which section the picture should be in (I'll assume it's for the voting section unless otherwise stated)
Please keep the file size under 200 kB, and the picture shouldn't be higher than 1024 and wider than 768 pixels (I'd suggest 800x600).
The deadline for entering is Saturday, 12th August, 18 UT. Let me know if you need more time. In the non-voting section, pictures can also be added later.
The pictures will be displayed on my webspace. You can choose to have your pictures removed when the round is over. You can also choose to leave them there, but have your name (real name or RHP nick) added.

Its very lucky I have my 3, as there is no chance in hell I'd have time to get anything done for this round, before the 12th.
