I've been on their support site for ages, and have been expecting an e-mail telling me how to purge my system of norton remenants....i'm still waiting.

You could search the registry for all norton/symantec stuff and clear it out there - but unless you are fairly confident about messing with the registry, don't touch it. You could properly screw up windows...
