Why wait to teach the kids about the harsh realities of life?

I would have them read the "Why was Kirksey Banned" thread.
Because it's fantasy, science fiction, opinion, thought provoking (hah), humor, and the story never ends.

Then I'd give them some bourbon and a revolver.

Lord of the Rings, as it contains everything a child needs to know about friendship, loyalty, destiny, perseverance and that people from the East are evil 😉
