I like my sister and don't want to say anything critical of her, but as enlightened humans beings I feel it's ...[text shortened]... o acknowledge the truth no matter how painful that truth might be... she's the mother of 5 boys.
Yikes, maybe there's something in her 'environment' that gives advantage to the 'Y guys'...

It is not her who decides, is it?

I think he (her husband) had something to do with that. Maybe it's not his fault though, maybe he just doesn't have any girls in him to give to her. She doesn't complain though, in her opinion boys are much easier to raise than girls.

You said this on page 5 of this thread:

[b]Unlike some, I type out the words imagining the person to whom I am responding (if it is that specific) as though they are within my physical periphery, and I theirs.

I couldn't live with myself knowing I've represented something about myself other than what I know to be faithful and accurate.

In other words, ...[text shortened]... nline a year or two ago ~ expressing your suspicions that I might have sex with my own children?
Give us the thread link and measure your invective.
My bet is that you have yet another swing-and-a-miss.

Sorry: I should have known better than to offer a sports phrase.

As a general rule, the boys have been very easy to raise: about as smart as sheep and very easy to steer one way or another.

The girls have been so much smarter in nearly every way (exception: academics, where they've been about dead even with the boys), and very versed in social interactions.

But in all, a complete joy.

Same here. The boys reminded me of when I was a boy, and the girls gave me some insight into women when they talked among themselves about boys.

Pardon my interruption.
Living in the past is passé.
Things happen, not always to our advantage or liking. We have to pick up the pieces and move on. Opening up old wounds is working against Mother Nature.

Edit: Oooops, wrong forum, I meant to reply in Chess Only.
Never mind, forget the post.

Do people portray themselves in online forums in the same way they really are in their social lives, workplace and at home?
Online vs. Offline: Part Two

Do internet users typically spend more of their discretionary leisure time online [information searches, Facebook, dating sites, online correspondence chess, forums ] or offline [at home, with friends and attending community functions]?

Now that the weather is tolerable, I'll be spending less time online and more time interacting with my real life environment in real time.
