A £10,000 fine for being caught in someone else's house even though you had a good reason. And THEN the £200 fine for possession of cannabis, AS WELL, resulting from that "good reason".

Scanning top shelves for something in a shop then tripping over a box of items left on floor because of limited lower eye view while wearing a face-mask.

Don't come here then, it's 14 days and 3 negative tests and $A3000. Then someone on the floor tests positive on day 12 and you start the 14-day clock again.

Just checked and your 3k Aus is just under £1700 so I guess yours is actually cheaper but 14 days, can look at it as 4 extra nights bed and food or 4 extra days locked up in a room, it's really crazy. At least Aus has been consistent and have done this from the start, the UK has pretty much been a revolving door for a year of the pandemic and now they bring it in? Was planning to go back early April but will have to change a few things because 1, I don't want to be locked in a room for 10 days and 2. I don't want to pay a stupid amount while doing it.

At least it's relatively straightforward to avoid it the way England are doing it, can either fly to somewhere else in Europe or Mexico, spend 10 days there and then fly into the UK or just fly into Dublin and woddle into NI, like anyone is going to care. Not sure if i can transit through somewhere to get to Dublin though.

Some will say it's my own Damn fault for going to Colombia during a pandemic, some are probably right but still, UK government are a pack of idiots.

I think all governments are trying their utmost to deal with this extraordinary situation.

But going to Colombia during a global pandemic was a choice, something within your control and yes, you will now have to face the consequences of that choice.

At Christmas my niece was travelling home to Spain from her uni in Wales. She arranged the Covid test 3 days before but the results still weren’t through by the time she was due to board her flight. She had to book a hotel overnight. The negative result came through the next day and she managed to book a flight to a city 4 hours from her required destination., an expensive trip!

Is it, how so? The issue seems to be a local manufacturing one.

PS - Is there a “Brexit problems” thread?

You are well within limits to get plumbing issues fixed during lockdown. I’ve got major refurbishment going on at my place. Trades are permitted entry to properties for work.
