People who get together for steak fry, drinking, and all sorts of organized crap. Fund raisers... etc.

The Grand Poobah is the leader.

Bodø. A looong time. If it's the last weekend of June, I'll almost certainly attend. If it's any other date, I won't.
By "last weekend in June" I'm guessing you will be in Philly for the World Open?

In case those replying/interested in this forming Philadephia meetup, the World Open (put on by Continental Chess) is June 28th - July 4th.

Some people might be more inclined to combine an RHP meetup with such an event. Some might want to steer clear.

I've already voted but I didn't mention proximity or likelihood of attendance. I'm in Harrisburg, a little over an hour from Philly. As far as likelihood of attendance is concerned, I'm about 50% no matter when it is held. I'm so close that it isn't a big investment but, I'm a bit of an idiot at times so nothing I say is very reliable. The fact that I want to go has very little bearing on whether or not I show up. Regardless, I'll try to make it whenever it is held.

Spring is good for me. Coming from Brockway, PA., about 3-4 hours' drive from Philly.

Cool man. I'm joining an American Legion post, looking for one now. I think, as a member of a post, I can get the hall for free or at very low cost. We bring in a widescreen TV, call a couple of strippers, get a goat...
Hey Sas,
I can bring the goat and a couple chickens from up here in Pennsylvania farm country. Hey do yinz have room for my dawgs?😛

Today it is freezing and snowing in the Philadelphia area. I'm telling you guys, late spring or early summer is best here. There is so much more to do here when it is nice

I like the late June idea. Thats a fun time of the year, and it gets it over with before the 4th of July
