Ok, this guy has been talked about for a while now. It is clear that he has spent the last couple of months deliberately dropping his tournament entry grade to enter low banded tournies, what is the site going to do about this?
I see he has entered the 'May 2007 Banded Duel II 1275-1300' tournie (TID:2083, has yet to start...). Why is this being allowed?? I brought this up months ago!!! He spanked me into the middle of next week when we played and would have done so twice if he hadn't have resigned (obviously trying not to jump too high in grade!!) I find it unbelievable that this is being allowed to continue. I would estimate his grade at 2000+ (if not more!) can we please get some clarification regarding the rules on this. If the site is going to implement criteria for the entry of Banded tournaments then the rules should be clear and enforced! 😠

I don't understand what his motivation is, but if he continues to mount tournament wins, his tournament rating would continue to rise and it would force him upward into higher levels of play, if I understand the system properly. You also have to remember that the most you can expect to obtain with your RHP rating is bragging rights, if you want/need them. You can't make money for it, right? I agree with you it is weak on his part, but there are alot of weak and horrible things in this society today that are allowed to go unchecked, even though people know what is about to happen.

Nothing will be done because the good old "But he was within the rating band and must have improved" brigade will come storming in to defend him.

He finished the game I posted 2 days after spanking you in Game 3015433 and then went on to spank a few more 1700+ players.
Must have been a off day for him. 😉

Strange that the game that Daemon Sin posted is after those games. Might not suggest engine use as the player could be deliberately playing very bad to bring his rating down. Still doesn't justify his actions though. 😕

For someone who regularly beats 1700+ players, it's hardly a sterling opening and middle game. I could have beaten him if he played like that and that's saying something!
