I'm asking for intelligent input on the question of why these words are bad. Answering 'because they are' or 'because children can be hurt by them' says absolutely nothing about why the words are bad, only what thei ...[text shortened]... fic and intended way. Neither does it address the harm of them when emotion is unattached.
Do be quiet yourself. You asked why they are bad. The intelligent answer is it can get your kid shot and killed in some places in this world. Pretty simple actually. The effects it has on peoples emotions are what makes them bad. I would think that even a simpleton could understand that. My thinking is that if I offend your emotions you will understand how it feels to others and not want to question or defend something that is clearly offensive.

As far as a beef with you. I have no beef. It is just your inflated ego that sickens me. Other than that no problem yet.

Things haven't changed much. The only difference is that we now have more subtle and effective forms of racism. They're called McDonalds commercials.

Selfish. It is not your decision what other people's children can and can't hear.

Noodles, go to a family with children and tell them you would like to teach their children about the use of the words "f" and "s", but not in a harmful fashion.

Film it for me, I could use the laugh.

Better yet, don't even ask them, and explain it all to the children right in front of the parents.

That's not the cause, it's a symptom, numbnuts.

Apparently only a simpleton would understand that. What makes them bad is not the fact that they are bad, that's clearly circular reasoning.

Well your thinking is faulty. I already understand how it feels to others, I am attempting to find out why it is offensive to others. If you don't question things (I am not defending anything here) you might as well not bother to have any thoughts of your own and just accept what everyone tells you at face value.

As far as a beef with you. I have no beef. It is just your inflated ego that sickens me. Other than that no problem yet.

Glad to oblige. I'd like to say the feeling's mutual, but I really couldn't care less about what you think.

I wouldn't teach kindergarten children about those words unless they use them or ask about them. What we were talking about (or at least what I thought we were talking about) was talking to other adults without making absolutely sure that you can't be overheard by a child.

Just curious, what would you do if they ask about the f-word?

If they ask, that cat is out of the bag. I'd ask where they heard the word.
