That's really like saying that Portsmouth are going to win the Premership this year because they were top at the end of the first game.

Hurry up and get to the bit where Frodo has to take the ring to Mordor.
One Rec to rule them all
One Rec to find them
One Rec to bring them all
And in the darkness bind them

Let's open up an old, boring debate.

I looked at them today for the first time in months and, of course, they are total crap. None of which I would actually recommend to anyone for entertainment purposes. Does ANYBODY here actually look at that list anymore?

Have any of you simpletons actually found that life here is kinder without recs? I, for on ...[text shortened]... fty status which I deserve.

Thank you.

EDIT - Look at that essay by Nems! Jesus Christ.
Don't make me come down to the dojo. 😠

In many ways, the RHP forums are a microcosm of life. They can be helpful, insulting, amusing, maddening, encouraging, frustrating, fascinating and boring. They can be cheap laughs and hurt feelings, they can be shining insights and priceless wisdom. Embrace them or shun them.. they are what they are.

I think they are what you make them to be.

No, it's your obligation to point out to them that doing it will initially feel good, but ultimately make them feel a little bit dead inside.

Anyone ever see the American 60 Minutes story on a girl becoming a star in the porn industry? I did, and I don't think I'll ever forget it.

Or just to listen to the song 'Amber Waves' by Tori Amos.

It's a tragedy.
Such a beautiful system, destroyed by those with no artistic merit laying down, dictating and urinating on all that was good and rightious.

Isn't it always the case? I suppose next the pawns are going to be allowed to move backwards, because it's soooo unfaaaaiiiirrrrrr for all involved...
This guy seems to know what he's talking about! He is pushing his book though, so it's a sales pitch but it's stll a great animation.

I guess that's precisely where our viewpoints differ!
