Imagine how splendidly satisfying it would feel to successfully incorporate three random words from Ponderable; aubergine, cactus and discombobulated.
The hosts aubergine tasted like cactus which discombobulated him.

Sounds like the start of a good thriller.

Perhaps the first word could be replaced with a random 'object' that would not typically be found in a horror story?
Does it need to be a single word, or a single object? Bouquet of roses for example?

Just suggestions at the moment old chap so anything is possible. 😏

Ponderable has the power.

I don't see myself as the person in power...

So far I see agreement

topic: ghost/supernatural/scary

keywords to be included: superstition - twilight - phantom

max. number of contributions per author: 2

amount of words: 800

We have not discussed yet how much time we give the potential contributers and how long for the voting.

I am tempted to fire the shot since most conditions are fixed and people can begin writing anyway.

I suggest to give four weeks time to compose the stories adn two weeks for voting.

I offer the Email adress Ponderable_Dickens@yahoo.com as the point to collect the stories.

For the convinience of everybody I offer to send as many contributions as you want. This includes rewrites. You can select which one go up by writing to that mail adress. If I receive more than two stories from someone and no message about priorisation I will take the two newest ones (by mail stamp).

Anything else can still be discussed.

The setting could be the Eurovision Song Contest perhaps 🤭

@Ponderable

I just saw that we gave six weeks last year. How is everybody feeling about the timeframe?

Have I managed to discombobulate you sir? Are you feeling the pressure?

Slightly discombobulated, yes. You, no; that would have been the Murphy's. Pressure is building, yes. Where's the loo?

LOL...I always found that word 'loo' for the washroom/bathroom funny for some reason, no offense to the English intended of course.

"Loo", you, too? Yes, the Brits have lots of expressions which sound funny to those born not in the land of the Queen's English. "Having a fag at the back of the bus," or asking a hotelier to "knock me up in the morning," ordering "bangers" for breakfast, spring to mind.
