Cigs, drinking, food, movies, books, sex...all can have control over our mind. All can influence our behavior. All can be addictive. Everybody is addicted to something...it's just a matter of trying to avoid the negative and dangerous addictions.
And people look at porn because they like it, and it's really as simple as that.
PS: Turkey bacon is bacon that uses turkey meat, instead of pork. I'm not really sure what is in it, exactly. I do know that it's better for you, and it tastes good.

People use pot and alchohol to control their mind in relaxing or exciting ways. They use porn to feel, maybe horny, maybe just to help fantasize. It's proven to be as addictive as substances.
Why do people go to movies? Why is it fun watching Luke duel with Vader? Perhaps because people can escape from their lives and put their minds in the movie. Feels like you're there experiencing the fall of the empire.
I think that people feel as if they are having the intimacy of sex if they simply put their minds there by watching a porno.

I agree that there is a lot of exploitation of women in the porn industry and that it is also sometimes a dangerous career. But proper regulations and safeguards could help improve that situation. If you look at people like Jenna Jameson for example, you will see a rich, successful, empowered woman. Like it or not, porn will always be a necessity to human life, but trying to repress it and villify it will only make the situations that are bad, worse. Proper controls and changes in attitude can see the industry improve.
