What a giant of jazz. Truly one of the founders of be bop with Charles Mingus, Bud Powell, Kenny Clarke, Dizzy Gillespie , Thelonious monk among others. Be bop is still a foundation of modern jazz today so his and their contributions have lasted 60 plus years.
