Well, since you speak so highly of it I added it to my saved Amazon cart.
Couldn't find the film in any online store here in Sweden. Perhaps that's a
good sign. 😕

For some reason I just thought of another film (which has absolutely no
connection to Russian Ark - but that's just how my mind works): Aaltra. Has
anyone seen that film? I should probably step over to that other thread and
vote it as one of the best I've seen.

And here I was thinking that maybe you'd located my long-lost twin brother, Boris. We were separated at birth, you see, but managed to keep in touch by monthly letter until his family moved east. Haven't heard from him since. Very sad...

But... uh... yeah, sounds really interesting. From the wikipedia article, it seems to have strong allusions to Dante's Inferno. Did you get that impression?
I told you to stop calling me Boris. You obviously never read what I said.

Sweet! I downloaded the zip file. How do I make it work in conjunction with the movie (avi file). Any idea?

Nevermind, I think I figured it out.

Fast and easy explanation for everyone else. Install DirectVobSub and just make sure the filenames are identical (video and subtitles) and in the same folder.

Sometimes you need to synch the subtitles with the specific file.

I thought I'd figured it out, but I was wrong. I named the srt (subtitle) file the same as the avi (movie) file and put both in the same directory. Still wasn't working.

I guess i just needed DirectVobSub.

Works beautifully now. Thanks!
