We have all heard loved ones say things in hate, out of love, something confrontational, controversial or hurtful. The state of mind of the recipient has more to do with the reaction. I will not justify being hurtful, but sometimes it is inevitable. I once said something to a dearly loved one. It was not meant to be hurtful, but they took it the wrong way entirely. All I said was the loved one needed to pursue medical care and this deeply offended them because of the state of mind from being ill unkowingly not realizing that what they were told was for their own good.
