Wait there - there's a glitch in the map - you can get to the top of the map by sailing south when at the bottom of the map - discovered it 3 turns ago so we will be arriving this turn ... from the north. 😉

Why does this game have to be the last one? 😠

EDIT - Turn is available via download!

EDIT2&3 - And I'm not quite sure, but I think the opposition was quite thoroughly pimpsmacked. I'll check the numbers, but it looks like enemy fleet has been wiped out, my fleet is a bit battered but mostly intact, and Ryuozji has managed a successful landing in enemy territory!

EDIT4-6 - In the three battles I participated in:

Our Losses
5 Ronin Spearman (5x6=30)
1 Mounted Swordsman (1x16=16)
3 Elite Samurai (3x11=33)
3 Jizamurai Warrior (3x6=18)
11 Archers (11x5=55)
3 Ashigaru Arquebusier (3x9=27)
1 Samurai Horse Archer (1x13=13)
6 Adake-Bune Warships (6x24=144)
1 Peasant Spearman (1x2=2)
1 Samurai Bowman (1x6=6)
Total Gold Value Lost = 344

Their Losses
2 San Pan Scouts (2x6=12)
6 Adake-Bune Warships (6x24=144)
5 Seki-Bune Galley (5x18=90)
5 Jizamurai Warriors (5x6=30)
10 Arquebusier Marksmen (10x10=100)
2 Mounted Swordsman (2x16=32)
Total Gold Value Lost = 408

Feel free to check my math. I'm notoriously bad about interpreting Battle Reports.

The entire Uesugi-Hokosawa fleet was sent to a watery grave save two transports. Not a single marine unit or combat ship survived a series of battles in the Suwo Sea. A Kyushu Alliance force seized Kotto; the Amako can give it to you Monk, but you weren't able to hold it. Although outnumbered, the Kyushu Alliance fleet in the Hibiki avoided destruction and I'd say your and the Amako fleet is in a bit of a pickle. Not so great for you, merchant.

Looks about right. In the battle that didn't involve you, Ito lost two seke bune galleys and three transports.

The combined Hosokawa / Uesugi operation achieved exactly what it set out to.

What did your side lose in that battle?

Six kobaya junks!

Oh, Ito also lost a bowman and an arquebusier.

I set you up to win a Pyrrhic victory. You did outnumber us after all. Question is, can you replace your losses? Your land produces 70-odd gold a turn...Another point is that your fleet no longer controls the Inner Sea.

That's the spirit! Keep throwing away your troops. The almighty coin is your holiest of holies; who needs to win in a fight when you can be rich?

You are a disgrace.

It's the sort of thing you do when you have the power to do it. Up until now, you and Ito have been throwing away your troops to no great avail. My sacrifice had a point.

Smegging thought I'd moved them along - 2 galleys and 5 transports held of 6 junks and 2 transports survived to tell the tale!

Elsewhere, an incompetent captain led to a galley of mine being captured ...

And our tiny force in 28 managed to kill 2 (?) ferocious mounted swordsmen of the Hosokawa's ...

Hehehe - despite overwhelming odds we're showing what it means to be samurai!

Which is what?

You outproduce us 3-4 to 1 and are struggling to make inroads.

Your control of the inner sea is illusory - oh - you can't see what's coming - sorry!

I don't know where you get the idea of "overwhelming odds" when you were attacked by a fleet smaller than yours.

What did you attack Tosa with, out of interest?

I know precisely what's coming my way.

OK, Lord Ito doesn't do maths. Never mind, have some more sake.

I wouldn't call booting you out of Shikoku "struggling to make inroads".
