What on earth are you talking about - my 'invasion' was sailing to see what was coming - it's not like my warships have met anything - and Oda hasn't had a chance to shed blood - he's been cowering behind his master waiting for scraps!
Are the Monks keeping Shimazu as a pet? I see he was ceded 37 more Gold in province value. Yet, the Monks insist that their vassals cede them the vast bulk of lands conquered at the cost of the blood of those vassal's forces. But Shimazu gets land for free (we know they aren't taking them in battle with their 3 land units). Why the double standard?
EDIT: The Asakura continue to stand at 148 Gold; they've made no progress toward the victory conditions since turn 6. Why not throw them a bone?

My treatment of vassals is unsurpassed by anyone else as l continually give to them. What do you give your vassals No1?
The Asakura will be ready to defeat your fleet, why dont you try sending it Westward. (The long way around!)
The strategy behind Your capture of Kotto is to be commended.
It has delayed your defeat.
Let us se what tricks you have up your sleeve for the next turn....
Lord Otomo,
You were not listening to Lord Uesugi.
You outnumbered him at sea and yet still lost the strategic advantage.
That is not the way of a profligate merchant. That is economical use of force and superior strategy.
Rennyo
You are giving lord Ryuzoji too much credit. He gambled on an assault, lost a sea battle and his fleet retreated into Kotto.
That's the second, maybe even third, time that he has been very lucky.
Luck is fickle.
Are you going to attack me on land Ryuzoji? with your allies in overwhelming numbers or are you just going to stand around looking tough until all of Kyushu is gone and the entire sum of your trecherous alliance is in western Honshu?
By the way it was my idea to give Kotto to the monks. Nobody bullies the Amako.
And if the Amako need to be as the 300 at Thermopylae, should it come to that, in order to make sure you die like dogs in Honshu while your lands fall to ruin and our allies inherit the shogunate, so be it.
It won't come to that though...
You can still complain that you AND Ito AND Otomo were outnumbered by the poor little Amako when you lose everything.
Originally posted by drakkarI already attacked your armies twice; once I took one of your Commanders heads at Susuma-Hongo; the second, I destroyed your's and the Monk's force at Kotto. I destroyed your fleet and you bleated for help to the Monks. You have accomplished nothing; I may destroy yours AND the Monk's force this turn or I may not.

You don't know very much about "strategic advantage" if you think a side gains it by getting their entire fleet sunk while the other side retains most of their ships. But we've already seen your naval prowess.
Yes Lord Ryuzoji you are very brave….
You attacked my fleet, which was tiny compared to yours, with Ito along to clean your blidges. Up to that point we were at peace.
You took my commander's head because as part of an AI stuff-up in unit transfer. The all-infantry Amako army you killed there was THREE provinces away and under no instruction to be in Susuma Hongo in the first place.
Consider that a freebe
I had a couple of ronin in Kotto, no more…
And now you have Otomo too to help you fight me? What have you promised him - seeing as you did nothing to assist him in Shikoku?
What don't you steal his Kyushu provinces from him too, since you care so little for his interests?
You attacked Mori's ships and then offered to help him fight me… didn’t you?
Ever found your chamber pot on your own?
I may indeed be destroyed fighting you and your slaves. But I will buy time enough for more honourable lords than you to crush the Ryuzoji.

I spoke to you about stopping the Uesugi and you blustered and threatened and spoke of his inevitable shogunate. You even promised me protection from them if I became your vassal!

If you don't know how to command your troops, that is your problem. If you had any honor, I'd make a deal with you to have every single unit, ship and troop, that is not Ryuzoji and Amako withdraw from the front. I doubt you would accept it as you would be quickly and throughly defeated.
Your sacrifice for others is sooooooooooo noble; why not give away some more of your lands? You are a weak lapdog of greater powers and are unworthy of my notice; let your masters speak what you say is of no import.
You should have become my vassal.
You desperately need instruction in how to treat them.
You NEVER aided me against the Mori. I did all the fighting and gave you information on their deployments.
True to your dishonourable nature you returned nothing but abject treachery.
You never aided the Otomo.
You could have not gone to war with me and assisted the Otomo instead.
But you didn't .
Because you think me weak… and even when you win by mischance or treachery you manage to take something from me - you still get your slaves to prop you up!
You imposed punitive demands for Shimazu lands upon the Ito and made of him a slave.
I may indeed give away more of my lands (or at least trade them). I have some future holdings in Kyushu that my friends would be very pleased to have.
You choose not to listen to my words because you know I see through to the heart of you.
Come and get me. You and your mistreated dogs must surely outnumber me enough to satisfy your cowardice.
