I go with one criterion - Am I comfortable? This includes being comfortable in social situations and whatnot, not just "Holy crap this elastic waistband sure is comfortable, and I don't need a belt!"

That's the nice thing about being grown-up, the clothes from last year still fit. But bad wolf may not be there yet.
