Even if it was obvious, Lynch was getting stronger and I doubt they would have stopped him.

If you want to do a trick play, make it a Wilson bootleg, but that ball should have never been thrown, especially in the middle of the field. Fade route if you must.

That is what I thought too. I even said it was a bad call at the time. However, one of my sons claims that the call was not bad and was a high percentage play for success is such a position.
