Swimming pool issue, need chemist advice

This might seem...well...obvious but did you get in touch with "real" experts? Ya know, like pool companies?

Yes, took water sample which was analyzed and found to be slightly acidic, ~6.7 Ph and alkalinity low, so got ph and alk increaser, that was all it needed to bring the water into pool spec but the algae problem is just starting to get better after a gallon of algaecide and three bags of shock, I think it is killing bugs just flying over the pool now🙂
