1. Why must I conform to their standard, by ordering a “venti”, “tall” or “grande” coffee? Just give me a large please.
2. There’s now a Starbucks on just about every street corner. They’ve closed down just about all of the little coffee shops with any charm and character.
3. Who ever heard of paying $2.50 for a cup of coffee???
4. Every time I order a cup of coffee they try to cross-sell me some kind of “heavenly fudgie delight bar” or something like that. All I want is coffee.
5. Why does their coffee have to be hotter than the sun? Driving home with a cup of Starbucks coffee is like trying to ride a unicycle while juggling flaming chainsaws.
6. They’re now trying to tell me what kind of lame music to listen too. I’m really not interested in Sheryl Crow.
7. When I order a large coffee, they correct me and say “venti”.
8. All their super sweet drinks are contributing to the fattening of America.
9. Their coffee is so strong, I feel like a need my stomach pumped after drinking half a cup.
10. They now have the in Safeway supermarkets…another prong on the axis of culinary evil.

The main reason not to drink Starbucks coffee is that it sucks.

I'm glad to say I've never been to a Starbucks... and I'll still be glad to say it when I'm old a gray. They can bite my Venti.

Unfortunately, it's the only coffee shop anywhere close to where I work. I try to avoid going there, but sometimes I sort of have to.

Your response was really witty and helpful though. So thanks.

I love Morrisons 🙂!
Oh yeah, Safeway is all over California. Never been to Morrison's, but here's my problem with Safeway. First of all, they have this new store policy where every time you see a customer, you have to engage them in conversation. I walk into Safeway to pick up some milk or something, and I have to chit chat with about 10 of these "friendly neighborhood" grocers. My second problem with Safeway is that they constantly move stuff around the store in a deliberate effort to make you spend more time there, thus spending more money.

You are welcome. I am glad that at least one person in this forum appreciates and realises my true talent. As for being forced to shop at Srtarbuck's, well you could try: -
1. Taking thermos flask containing your favourite coffee made to your own specifications.
2. Taking coffee of your liking to work and using their kettle.
3. if they do not have a kettle then take your own.
4. Looking a little harder for somewhere that sells coffee. Perhaps there is a little breakfast shop that does a sideline in the obnoxious substance.
5. Giving up cpffee. Afteral, caffeine is bad for your health.
6. I have run out of alternatives.
7. I have forgotten what comes after 7.
