I always preferred the stuff the did in the mid 90's. After that they seemed to go down hill. Personally, I would say White on Blonde was their best album.

as an honorary member of the Lone star chess club, I have found Texans to be the most amicable and culturally aware of any of the Americans that i have encountered on-line. All else is just dang Yankee talk! as for the band, Scottish folk heroes! πŸ™‚

Oh my GOD!~ Listen, this thread is about Texas and the snow. Texans don't know what to do with snow. Texans don't have plows. Texans don't have salt. Texans probably have a lot of sand, but that sand is all under the snow.

Texas is now closed! No ones coming in, no one gets out!

I have the Laredo Morning Times delivered, by courier, each day and noted, in one of their feature articles called "Is it really Coke?", that the folks in Dallas thought, when it first hit them, that it was just some blowover from a lab across the border from Laredo. Texans eh?

Phlab is correct. Here in New Braunfels (halfway between San Antonio and Austin), there was maybe a quarter inch on the ground. All the county schools closed up and everybody (my wife included) is calling in to skip work because they are "snowed in". They actually closed down Interstate 35. It's 10:30am and it is already melting away, but no work gets done in Tejas today! πŸ™‚
