England has 407 on the board. Australia has nothing yet. They should be able to amass a big total but things can always go pear-shaped in a hurry in this game...

He needs to shut those critics up.
Anyone who saw his ball to dismiss Brian Lara last summer cannot think he is not a dangerous bowler - he just needs a pitch that suits.
Was a very entertaining days play. Quite bizarre. This was a Test and not 20/20 right?

I thought I would let it be known that Australia have been bowled out for 307, with Freddie getting two wickets in two balls to finish them off.

Would someone care to explain to me why Hoggard has come in at #3???

Vaughan and/or Bell come in at 10/11.
Hoggard can do a great job as a night watchman. I've seen him hold out for over an hour sometimes the morning after. Pity he didnt try this when Simon Jones was going for it yesterday, if Hoggie hadnt got out, Jones mighta added another 20 or so (remember his first test innings? 45 off 44 balls, then got injured and didnt play for england again for a while.).
