that's a bit harsh... I though he was playing himself in nicely, and again an unlucky out.

He is one for the future.

Your time would be better spent throwing beer cans at Trescothick for waving at a nothing ball outside his off stump, or Vaughan for proving once again he cannot play simple forward defensive strokes.

Encouragement is what Bell needs, he began to play in today and was unlicky. If anyone, throw beer cans at the umpire in his case.

You wouldn't find the Aussies slating one of their own young players in the same situation.

Edit - things are looking better for Flintoffs heroics.

Peach of a bowl form Warne. Suppose it was inevitable. But Flintoff's run gives some hope. Gonna be an exciting afternoon.

66-2 now.
Aus will win this going away with a 120-run stand and have a day off on Monday. Hate Aus BTW, but damn, they're a good batting side, and we ARE talking about England.

Boycott is talking again about bowling in the corridor of uncertainty. Which reminds of how I also used to bowl in that same corridor. They could never decide whether to hit me for a four or a six!
I was a rubbish player - couldn't bowl or bat. I could field a bit but was only in there to make up the numbers.

As an observation: Geraint Jones has certainly improved as a wicket keeper. When he was here in South Africa last year, he was dreadful. Certainly not international material.

I might be forced to eat my words and hat. Aus 135-6. What sauce do you recommend? I'm inclined towards HP. Does Parliament House still exist? We've got to make it palitable.
