No chance?😕
Still, this is the first live Test (i.e. when the series is still open) that England have won since 1997, and that was the first one since 1987 (I think)).

That was soooo bloody intense! I nearly cried when Jones took that catch. Flintoff going over to Brett Lee, helping him up, having a chat and shaking his hand made me proud to be English and it's been a long time since that happened. A great match, simply great!

What an awesome match. Certainly the most exciting sporting event I've ever followed. It just shows how well England have to play to win one, though - you've got to fancy the Aussies for the series really.

Congratulations England! very well played. it was a great test match where the balance swung back and forth a number of times and was very close in the end. Flintoff especially deserves praise...

Just a misunderstanding there, old chap...

I was referring to the odds. After the catch (from the glove, but that's sport) Australia's odds of winning plummeted to zero. If McGrath is out for the whole tour, it could be a lot closer than I thought.

I still think the Aussies will take the Ashes, because someone always seems to stand up for them when the chips are down.

Incidentally, McGrath and Lee look like they will be playing today, though as long as Warnie's on we're right as rain.

Mc Grath is playing but is he fit?

England must bat for four sessions, bring it on!

Sheesh that was close! Tresco dropped... Why is Trescothick always out to McGrath by driving at a full length ball outside off stump. I can't believe the number of times I've seen that same bloody play.

Tres is not filling me with confidence here. McGrath looks to be untroubled by injury.
Nice to see Aus have a wicket-keeper who drops them occasionally too 🙂

Sigh... Strauss bowled under the bat, 27 for 1. Looking at the replay it was a no-ball by about 6 inches.

Really? I missed that? Who was the umpire?
"Senile" Steve Bucknor is officiating, so expect some lunatic decisions.

Good to see a yorkshireman making hay in the lancastrian sunshine.
