My grandmother introduced me to one of her cambodian friends. When talking with her she mentioned marriage and the possibilities of me marrying her niece so that she may become a United States citizen. I have not met her niece yet, but I guess in order for her to stay in this country she must get married to get her citizenship. I have been told that she is 19 and good looking.
I told my grandmother's friend that i was serious about helping her out. Now my question for the masses is What is the going rate for this sort of thing. I was asked how much I would need in order for me to feel comfortable. Do the standard rules of marriage apply...must we live together...does the marriage have to be conjugated? How long must we stay married. if we divorce will she get deported.
Any info or opinion anone has on this will be appreciated.

thats serious stuff. Asians will pay you like 30K for marrying their family so they can become US citizens. not only that, but they're usually pretty and they cook and clean from what I hear. I'd go for it if I was you. after a few years if you get tired of her, divorce. she a citizen by then and she gets to stay.

I know it is filled with endless possibilities. but is their any legal ramifications if we were to get caught. Other than my would be wife getting deported. Do any women have an opinion on this issue.
What if we fal in love an I obligated to give the money back. Do I make her sign a pre nuptial agreement so she doesnt get half...I think there is so much more to it than just saying I do and cashing the check.

$50k is nothing compared to the crap you will have to go through with the immigration authorities. And when she blows up a bus, nice one!
Probably over-reacting, but you never know.
