I'm not saying a marriage like this couldn't work. I'm saying it's on ...[text shortened]... arriage is about a lot more than money. I would say to you, why are you thinking of doing this?

My grandmother introduced me to one of her cambodian friends. When talking with her she mentioned marriage and the possibilities of me marrying her niece so that she may become a United States citizen. I have not met her niece yet, but I guess in order for her to stay in this country she must get married to get her citizenship. I have been told that she is ...[text shortened]... ce will she get deported.

Any info or opinion anone has on this will be appreciated.

some man hire/rent/buy prostitutes for what? fulfilling physical and mental needs. the purposeful/functional the prostitute is, the higher the rate. The prostitute sells the sexual relationship for money. Now, this girl also need your sexual relationship for her purpose (physical: to enter to US, and mental: to dream of future). She doesn’t need you for her life. She offered you to hire just for her desire!

whats your grandmamma? a nerd? how come she is with such ugly business? by the way, my sixth sense says that you are foolish enough to get a US girl to get marry. or somehow couldn't convince. And the ugliest thing is your grandmamma offered you to be a prostitute and now you are negotiating the rate!

Ahhh, taking women's rights waaaay back to the dark ages... what will men think up next? (NO, don't tell me, I don't wanna know...)

This is like Nike feeling all philanthropic because their 10 cents-per-day wages are higher than the national average wages in Cambodia...

Sense of humor? (yes, Humor, as in Good Humor Man... bah, nevermind)

This is like expecting Rosa Parks to think it's funny to be asked to move to the back of the bus...

From the little I know of it I think you could expect $10k. This really is pretty poor value if no love is involved. There is a lot of bearaucracy, responsibility and you are giving up at least 3 years of your own life (other women might not like the fact you are married). You will be expected to show you are together over the next 2 to 3 years.

It is very common but it it is very rarely successful. I know several overseas citezens who have married for a fee and an EU passport. Although there has normally been some love there at some stage.

You asked for a woman's opinion? Since all Suzianne came forward with was a sarcastic remark, I'll take on the job if you don't mind 😉
Now first off, I have no idea about the price... been discussed enough, and I don't really care. I was gonna talk about my opinion on the issue.
I don't actually have any moral objections to what you propose. I'd say prenuptial agreement: definately! Because if you make sure she can't take all your money and run after 2 years, it's more or less a win/win situation.
What worries me is the fact that you have to name the price on the same day you meet her. I wouldn't do that if I were you... it's a big descision, and you should have some time to contemplate whether you really want to do it after you meet her. No point in rushing into the situation - after all, she will become a part of your life.
Another thing you should perhaps think about (I know this is gonna get laughs from the guys here) is what kind of relationship you want to have with her. Really marriage-like, with sex etc? Or more roommate-like, in a platonic fashion? I think you should definately make a clear descision on this, as you're not marrying her for love.

Well, that was my 2 cents... hope it helped some.
