I could walk either - city or country.
I used to walk mostly at night when it is quiet. I won't do that any more. Too old a buffalo now.
Walking at night is never safe anymore it seems anywhere.

I live next to a lake called long lake for a good reason it runs about 10 miles or so, and has a path way. When I was younger I use to bicycle it both ways. Now I walk it (not10 miles though), there is a dirt path and in a lot of the places grass along side you can walk on. I still like a nice brisk walk even in the winter. They actually keep that path way trail open, which is done by the city which is very nice.

So in the City but can go for a walk in a country setting as it is along side a lake with lots of trees all around and I've seen many different kinds of wildlife along the way. We are in a safe part of the city kind of on the outskirts but only about 5 to 10 minutes away from anything. Nice peaceful location, and a great place to spend retirement years.

how far do you walk?
I wish I lived in the country
city walks are depressing
No park? That's why I like London, big city but a lot of large parks. In Dublin I used to leave near the biggest park in Europe, that was nice. Agree city walks get a bit dull, we're spoiled in Ireland for countryside, just need a day it's not raining.

Vodka... Please? Leave the bottle🚬

the park is about a mile away
I don't drive so the walk to the park is, for me, a long walk

Are you too large/fat to fit through the door of the bus, Tram, Train, Rickshaw, Mototaxi or Guy in a bicycle pulling a cart?

London is truly special, large parks and smaller ones too. And try to imagine Manhattan without Central Park. Gothenburg is also a green area which is shrinking now as architects and builders use every empty spot to fit in a new house, that's the trend.

H.C. here's your vodka, bottle and all. The "all" being a pickled herring sandwich, the tattoo brochure and of course my company. So what's new in the world of Hell?

@Great-Big-Stees

Morning Stees and @torunn,

Stees, are you getting any of that snowstorm we're getting in Northeast US?
Gonna be a doozy :-) Break out the ginger brandy

I have been thinking, perhaps we should have a small library for our guests - to read when there, or to take home and maybe bring another book instead. If you have interesting books that you can spare, you can list them here. Not too many though, space is limited, and only books that you like.

Oh, you are a book hound, yes.

I have a suggestion for you: "The Origins of AIDS" by Pepin. Looks great.

The problem, tho, with a book they are pushing, you won't likely get it cheap any time too soon, and you'll be lucky to reserve it in the library. But good luck, torunn

Could you stick in some comic books with pictures, I can tell what is going in those. 🙂

I will have my usual green tea please, when you have a chance.
