@earl-of-trumps saidSo you would be your own Moderator removing things you didn't want and keeping what suited you. You do know there are clubs where you can already do that don't you?
In the imaginary world, here are the new posting rules.
The originator of the thread has the following powers:
1) Thread starter, or OP, can delete unwanted posts at his discretion
2) OP can remove unwanted posters from the current thread
Too radical? It might cause problems as well as solve some.
You can also do that in the Private Clan Forums!
Now you want to be able to do it in the GF, or all the site forums? We can just do away with Moderators on the Site, I am sure that would work out well, NOT!!!!

@earl-of-trumps saidI don’t agree with your restrictions actually, but there is mileage in this.

Russ will never spend the time doing it, but I think there is massive fun to be had in providing forum contributors with thread editing rights.
For example:
Any post which the OP creator thinks is crap or brilliant or creative or whatever, can be marked with a suitable icon. A bit like the thumbs.
I also again re-propose my previously unpopular idea of the mods being able to limit the amount of posts an offender can make in one day.
@divegeester saidI still strongly disagree with your idea as it is censorship to a degree.

Why limit how many times a poster can post in one day. Some post very little as it is and should post more.
Some like myself post way too much. I don't think limiting the amount of posts is really going to help. It would be an issue just for everyone to agree on what the amount of posts should be?
If some had their way some of us wouldn't be allowed to post at all! 😉

@earl-of-trumps saidso you're saying that only the host should be allowed to make a post toast

@earl-of-trumps said3) any edits put the post into a "waiting period", or "timeout"

@rookie54 saidWouldn't it be great if you got to be able to censor the edits....LOL....Better yet take the post out altogether!!! 🙂 NOTE: The edit, I believe I posted about 6 times would I have over used my allotted posts? 🙂
