Like I told earl that is why we have Site Moderators to remove unwanted thread or posts, and don't leave it up to the individual poster. You don't see how idiotic that would be to do?

I don't think that would work, primarily as the best threads tend to wander from the original OP (and then sometimes back to it). Some thread creators are quite possessive of their threads and would likely squash any digressions, to the detriment of the thread.

Agreed, you can't allow censorship to that extent; peoples' opinions differ, that's the point of discussion, if we all agreed with each other or were only allowed to post in agreeable terms then life might get boring. We should be able to mod - out personal insults, so the way things are is probably as good as it gets.

If I had my way we'd do away with anonymous thumbs (up or down) , if you like or don't like something we should be able to ask why. Presently perfectly innocuous posts are being thumbed down only because people don't like other people, which is where it gets personal.

I'd have a lot of fun with it for sure, not that I think it would be the right thing to do, but myself and others would have a lot of fun with that feature.

I don't think it would be good for the site, that is the reason we have Moderators so they can look after what posts should remain and what posts should be removed.

If people don't like it they can start their own club and control it anyway they see fit or a clan for that matter. We already have those features in Clans and clubs, do we need them in the Site forums too? May as well not have Site Moderators if that is your thinking.

Again Phil, that is what the Site Moderators do, all you have to do is alert it.

Now they are not going to remove it just because you don't like what was said, it would have to be against the TOS!

Nothing to do with integrity has to do with a small group of you trying to control how the forum are Moderated goad and we both know it! I don't think you figured I'd get it! 😛 😉
