Terrorist: Not with the United States.
Get this straight: I don't support the war. We should have left Iraq when Saddam was captured. I don't even know why we went to Iraq.
People can think of the US what they want. It's not my place to judge someone who has an opinion.

Guess who said it.

While we're all here chatting nicely, could you give us an exact definition of the word "terrorist"? I would appreciate it.
I call the loss of 200 of our citizens in premeditated bomb blasts since the year 2000 a pretty good definition of a "terrorist".
Mate grow up and smell the roses!
There are people out there in this world who would neck shoot you quicker than blinking because you are an Australian!
Being an Aussie has both rights AND responsibilities!
Yes Yanks can be overbearing and over enthusiastic!
The U.N will not expend lives of soldiers in missions.
The Americans will.
They have since their nations inception in their Revolutionary War in the 1700's.
We have to ask ourselves do we want the military of the nations of Russia, China, Indonesia or India to exert their massive advantage in manpower over the foriegn policy of nations who fall under the large sphere of influence projected by these nations and many more?
You may think some people who post here are drongos but remember the price our ancesters paid to afford you that luxury!
ANZAC Day!
We are free thinking people mate. Chill, relax and enjoy because some people in the world dont have your natural born rights.
Remember the Southern Cross!

And most soldiers do what they do because they love it.
Believe it or not, but the "only the poor" join the US military is more fallacy than fact. There are more enlisted personnel with BA and BS degrees than ever before entering the services and not because they couldn't find a job on the outside. Sure, joining the military is a great option for a poor person, but that poor person has to have morals and intelligence, not be a street thug.

Of course things could be worse, but that does not mean we shouldn't strive to make things better. I fully appreciate how lucky I am to be in a position where I can speak my mind, but should I then not do so?
It would be understandable for certain governments to wish to combat specific groups, and logical to at the same time ask themselves some hard questions as to why these groups wish them ill. But instead we are combating a vague term which simply equates to the word "bad" in most people's minds, and the motives of these bad people have been brushed aside as spiteful, trivial, superficial. "They hate our freedom", what on earth does that mean?
So while there could obviously be worse countries occupying the U.S.A.'s current position in world affairs, I'm not going to simply tell myself how fortunate we are that Russia isn't the leading superpower as the U.S prepares to invade another country. A spade's a spade and a drongo's a drongo.

Yes yes, we know.
Our freedoms include the right to debate points like this, go, do and say what we like.
You do make valid points like not examining the reasons behind some of these actions which should have been done. Some of the answers they would not have liked very much. But some answers were just pure hatred for Americans.
For my point of view, the only mistake was occupying Iraq. Should have left after catching Saddam. As soon as they leave now, either Iran will take over or the best result would be the country splitting into three, an Assyrian, a Kurdish and an Islamic state.
Osama should be hunted down. Man's just too dangerous.
The world has changed for the worse, and probably wont change for the next fifty years.
I wish mankind luck, we are going to need it.
