I'm not that thrilled with Linspire so far because I can no longer play my games on this computer (such as Sims2 and any other game I own). The Linspire sim games are rather pathetic, at least the transportation one. I already used firefox and open office, so that wasn't a change. We'll see in the long run, though.

LOL
It's amazing how many miss the point. Unless, I suppose, one reminds oneself of the average IQ on this site.
Everyone has an opinion and just because its not the same as yours, the sarcasm comes out. If you dont need graphic get a word processor instead of a pc.

And his point (which I also missed due to my apparent low IQ) was that he found it amusing how we all considered this firefox carried linux an equal to an actual harddrive installation. Which was a good point if you think about it.

Everyone has an opinion and even though others may have a point to what they say, it doesn't mean you have to take any notice. If you need more reliable software on a better system, get Linux instead of Windows.

Point me in the direction of a sim game that isn't simtransport, or any *tycoon* type of game, or anything comparable to Age of Empires...
In my opinion. 😕
You can always play Tux flying down the slopes. 😀

What I will say, though, is that I've played a number of graphics-intensive games on Linux systems and they're fast and flawless.
Also, state-of-the-art titles are developed and tested on powerful Linux systems.
Originally posted by BowmannI would agree. "nethack" being the best game invented on any platform anywhere if you can get past the graphics. Actually it's your kind of game. Grammatically correct to a fault (they even realease patches to fix grammar) and it even beats grand theft auto for the sheer flexibility of gameplay.
There are many games for Linux. Among the best, in fact.
Still, most games don't work on Linux.
