😵 Sorry, but you know it's true. If I start a thread about the lighty lions, isn't it kinda rude clicking in there and start typing about pigeons? Then again, keep talking about XP if you like. Don't expect to get a nice warm response by linux enthusiasts though. 🙂

Eh? 😕
Most Windows games? Is this your point?
So it seems no one has heard of id's Doom or Quake titles, for instance 🙄
Originally posted by reader1107The freeciv IS good reader but you might find actually getting it to run confusing. The fact is, that freeciv can run over the internet and can have computer operated civilizations as well as human controlled ones. This is kinda cool. However, if you want to play it yourself, you have to run the freeciv server application, then you also run the client application (this is the one that actually looks like a game) and then connect to the server through the client. On the server you have to create civilizations with some command or other and the type "start". At this point you're suddenly presented with something that looks almost exactly like civilization. There are mods available that can make it behave like all the other civilzations too.

ANyway, best advise is to read the faq and play. I prefer it to my all time favourite which was civ 2

I have a summer cold in addition to the sunburn, so I'm too miserable to do much except be a mouse potato.🙄

I think this is just you and the Bowmeister. Everyone else seems to be a chillin and a hankering after some big time linux fun.
You are allowed to do Windows and we wont make you feel guilty 🙂
I don`t feel guilty. Windows works for me. My daughter uses windows at school, so i see no real reason to change.
As for Bowman, well..................

You should ask first though.

Originally posted by PaulieHowever you view it, you can hardly make this a discussion about Windows since that's another topic entirely. It's not on the same level even. 😛

Originally posted by stockenI did pay, I did install, I did look at the software Sam I Am. I rather like one of the calendar programs, and the penguin screensaver. Yes, I am a pathetic person. Keep in mind I spend ten months of the year with third graders, and the summer months trying to restore my brain to at least a 12-year-old level before the cycle begins all over again! 🙄 Being particularly fond of immediate gratification, I get frustrated when it isn't all instantly the way I want it to be!

And, um, no, I didn't notice the spell check program! I'm just hoping I don't get electrocuted for beginning a sentence with a conjunction!😀😴😴
