the sole reason for this thread is to demonstrate rusty's insecurity brought about by a lack of love from his mother
he needs,
desperately,
for folks to love him and care that he exists,
but he does not want anyone to tell him this, as his ego is fragile,
damaged by poor relationship choices and a misguided fear of social interaction
i absolutely do speak from experience
and part of that experience is the work done to mitigate the pain so that interactions are not impacted by past infractions
