Oh it’s so miserable! Can’t remember such a wet Jan and Feb! Got 2 dehumidifiers running. One for drying damp dog towels and reproofed showerproof coats for me & the dog and one for clothing. As for those poor farmers 😢? On the bright side, all hosepipe bans are now lifted in the UK.

Probably get an overly dry spring and the hosepipe bans will be back 😄

I spent most of January in Ireland, the start of the year was quite nice with the snow... Then it got completely miserable. All around the world it seems the weather has been a bit mad.

It is called "Global warming", they have been talking about it since back in the 70's. Those of us who laughed about it, aren't laughing anymore. The weather around world seems to be changing. I remember as a young boy of around 10 or 11 skating on the Ponds in October. Now lucky if they harden up until December or January. No that the kids of today do that anymore. Usually on their I Pads or phones, or some other electronic device that we never had growing up. I believe we were much healthier back then.

That is not to mention all the pollution we have put into the air in the past 50 plus years!

I try to keep this in mind when I read and hear about global warning and its consequences. We can't just focus on here and now. I don't doubt we have an impact on the climate but comparing with conditions from our childhood, 70-80 years, is a rather short period.

Actually now it's called climate change 😉

Stops the idiots walking in the snow and saying global warming is a bunch of hogwash.

It's the pollution that is mostly causing the climate to change... And it's not going to improve anytime soon either.

Back around 25 years ago I looked at the long-term predictions and moved house as a result. Where I am now I'm virtually unaffected by any of it. One of the few smart things I've done in my life.

Industrial revolution didn't start very long ago, it all went downhill after that.

Indeed! The point I was trying to make is we should have started working on it back in 70's instead of thinking Global warming, Climate change call it by what ever name we wish but it is the same thing and the weather has changed and only now people are realizing it and as you said it may be too late. Big changes would have to be made. Should have been started back in the 70's! Someone said the other day we don't have 4 seasons any more we have 2 or sometimes 3....TRUE!@

I don't know that even scientists are sure on that one. Things would have to change and change quickly. The wheels just DO NOT turn that quickly in getting things done.

Our Great Lake (Erie) went from 1% ice covered to 60% in just 6 days. Now it’s 100%, first time since 2011.
