I want to set up a web-site for my sunday league football team so was wondering if there were any free sites where i can do this?

I am not very technical so need a user-friendly site that is also free.

Thanks in advance guys!

In most cases, simply having a internet connection means you have a webspace provided by your ISP...usually around 25/50Mb.

I use www.web-mania.com (UK company) if you want hosting with all the bells & whitles.

Do you just need a website building tool, or do you need some webspace to host the site on as well?

Funnily enough, I have just launched such a service myself that does exactly this, allowing you to set up a site for your football team

http://www.ukffteams.co.uk

For details on how to set it up...

It is part of the UK Football Finder (http://www.ukfootballfinder.co.uk) service that launched a few months ago.

It doesn't cost anything - and it's very simple to set up - you just follow the set up instructions and then you get a site called something like

myteam.ukffteams.co.uk

You can then just enter your fixtures, results, players, etc... you get you own team forum, your own team fantasy league with your players scoring points for goals, assists, etc..., basically anything you might want to have for a football team website.

No cost.

A buddy of mine developed a similar service here in the US. I think one of the features is automated prerecorded calls placed to team members, announcing schedule changes, cancellations...etc.
