Now considering what Cribby posted: some people may not receive it, by God's choice, and what you just quoted there is a mutually exclusive condition within. If god chooses not to save some people then they can not repent and become saved as the verse claims. So both can't be true. Either your first statement is false or the verse in 2 Peter is false. Which is someone to believe?

I interpret this to mean that the Lord wants to save everyone. But
you have frequently said that salvation is a gift that God chooses
to give to only some people. Are you retracting that now? Or do
you have a verse that supports that as well?

God wants to save everyone but some poeple will never except Him he gives you free will to except or reject Him. Maybe someday you will except Him even in your dying Hospital Bed unless it is to late and you die in a car accident.

This is all I could think of:
Luke 7:21-23

At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. So he replied to the messengers, "Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me."

Hebrews 10:37
For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay. So you need to be ready for when Jesus Comes Rent the Movie (Left Behind)

So you are taking back what you said that faith is a gift from God?
And does God give that gift to everybody?

If God wants everybody to be saved, why would he care whether
or not they accept Him. He could just accept them anyway, correct?
That would be in line with his desire to save everybody.

You can't explain contradictory bible verses with interpretation, you must reconcile them with each other. If they can't be reconciled, one or possibly both are wrong.

I gotta ask about your citation from Hebrews, I'll even repost it:

Hebrews 10:37
For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay. So you need to be ready for when Jesus Comes Rent the Movie (Left Behind)

What version of the bible did you get this from 😀

I ment Matthew 7:21-23 note Luke 7:21-23
Matthew 7
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Ephesians 2:8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

God din't have to save us but because he loved us so much he did John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
There are million of People in Hell right know that can Quote this verse.

James 2:19
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that–and shudder.
See believing is not good enough, you must know him personally.

This indicates that man must "do" something to be saved.
Does this mean that anyone who violates the Father's will
goes to hell? Does it mean that you have to do everything
that God says in order to be saved, or just some key things?

Could you please write a paragraph or two in your own words
what you interpret this verse to mean.

Hebrews 10:37

This verse is saying to be ready for Jesus. The Bible always talks about the number 7.
So that's about how long humans will be here from Adam to the second coming of Christ 7,000 years.

Provided no harmful intent exists. By no means did I intend to insult RBHILL or Christianity. 🙂 I can make fun of whatever I wish, I can even have the intention to harm and insult people. Buddhism doesn't place restrictions on your life, it places guidelines. If one wants to stick with them, then YAY! However, we can never stick to all of them simultaneously and instantaneously, we must constantly work with what we understand until we are ready to move on. Don't assume every Buddhist is the same, because we are all at different parts along the path. What makes one a Buddhist is when they have the intention to walk that path.

So, by cracking a joke, I do so with the intention to not only make others happy, and also with the lack of intention to insult or harm, but also the intention to progress further along the path.

Dreamlax was not being rude. He was just making fun of the way you quoted the verse. Forgetting to close the quotation made it look as if Left Behind was part of the verse.
