If you stopped all cardio you would proberbly notice the difference within a few months, I would gradually lower the calorific intake too gradually if decide to bin the cardio. If you are worried about putting too much weight on you could always do a cut afterwards. Its all about trial and error.

i lift weights on top of baseball and i dont have a problem with gaining strength its just weight. my body percent fat is about 7% i had it checked by a doctor. i dont plan on cutting out my aerobic excercises either i'd rather be in shape. i dont stop excercising after baseball is over then comes soccer so its an ongoing cycle of aerobic excercise

Unless you plamn on consuming more than you burn then you wont grow. I think bodybuilding might be somethink for you to venture when you are older.

At 18, you are still a kid. You have plenty of time to gain weight. Clearly, now is not the time.

You obviously have a good work ethic though. As long as you are smart about training and priorities, you'll do well.

SIUE powerlifters win National competition, look ahead to world
National records established by Bell and Haislar Bell and Haislar
By: Travis L. Ross
Issue date: 9/25/03 Section: Sports

Three SIUE students are pushing their way into the national weightlifting record books.

At the Son Light Power Open Powerlifting Nationals, junior Matt Bell, sophomore Christina Weise and Erica Haislar competed in the bench press and deadlift competition.

All three athletes finished first place in both areas of competition within their respective weight classes.

Haislar established national records with both of her lifts in the 125-pound weight class, bench pressing 150 pounds and deadlifting 270 pounds.

Weise competed at 128 pounds and cleared 130 pounds on the bench and 255 pounds on the deadlift.

Bell competed at 195 pounds and set a new national deadlift record, lifting 575 pounds. He benched 350 pounds

Interesting conversation you guys got going on. Well after I created this thread, that very day I got another weight boost. It seems that it stays constant for several days and then all of sudden it goes up a couple of pounds. I need 2 more pounds and then i'll be at my heaviest ever. I used to eat more before but then lost pounds over the years.

I got 2 weeks left till 2 months are over and I'm up 9 pounds already. I think around 2700 cal is good for now, went up a bit from 2400. I read the previous posts, 6000 cal wow! The most I , scores!!!!!!!! sorry watching hockey!! , eat in one day was 3600. I did that couple of times I think but it's pretty hard to do though.

As for those world records for the lower weighted people, i'm pretty close to the benching ones. I can bench my body weight almost. I'm increasing the wiegth 5 pounds each week, and right now, scoressssss...... 3-0 Oilers!!!, wow 2nd fight with the same players again, man what a hockey game!..

K back to what I was saying... right now I can bench 10 pounds less then my weight 5 times in one sitting. I did this 3 times and each time I could do 5.

Edit: Newsflash...Scoressssss 4-0 Edmonton Oilers.

I started drinking more water and i'm around 8-9 a day now. How much do you drink?

I start this program last month, April 1 and gained several pounds that month, but ...[text shortened]... not gaining any weight anymore, just going back and forth around one weight.

Any ideas?
drinking too much water makes your kidneys works unnecesarily !

if you want to lose weight ... reduce the amount of calories in your diet and increase your time doing fitness or other aerobic sports ...
