Ideally mate its 1.5grams of protein per pound of bodyweight. You can get your good quality protein from a variety of sources such as:-
Chicken (skin & bones removed) breast
Lean Red Meat
Tuna
Mackerel
Salmon
Low Fat Cottage Cheese
Quark
Turkey (skinless)
Sardines
Kippers
Whey Protein shakes
Veal
Venison
Soya Milk
Tofu
Quorn
Tempeh
Low fat Yoghurts
Lentils
Seeds
Shellfish
Buttermilk
Bacon back
You want to concentrate on 5 small complete meals per day, working on a 3 or 4 day split routine, NO CARDIO if you want to bulk up.
You dont need to do any more than the 3 to 4 days a week otherwise you start overtraining the muscles. Remember your muscles grow out of the gym and not in (even though you get the initial pump) The muscles grow best whilst you are sleeping this is why it is recommended you get 8 hours sleep too.
Also if you are serious about bulking up then 2400 cals per day is pretty poor even if you are 8 stone. without a good look at your diet I cant really advise you on this apart from eating "clean" foods (in other words no chips, saturated fats etc)
Hope this helps 😉

I don't understand what you meant by :
even if you are 8 stone?
I eat 2400 a day now which is a lot more then I use to before but sometimes I eat more then that around 3000 on good days. It's hard to force yourself to start eating more and it's only been about 1.5 months. I'm trying to eat more gradually.
8 to 9 glasses?!?! are you crazy!! im an 18 year old kid and a very athletic and i work out every day and take one day off. gaining weight for me is so hard. i gained 10 lbs in 8 months when i was eating 6000 calories a day and i drink way much more water than that and dont gain ne thing. i take a 30 ounce water bottle with me to school and i drink about 9 of those a day. the most i ever drank in lbs a day was 18 and a half lbs of water 296 ounces.

there are 14lbs per stone so 8 stone (imperial measurement) equates to 112lb.
I realise it is hard to force yourself to eat more but you can replace some meals with "meal replacement bars". These bars are loaded in cals and good ones at that. You will be looking for a 40/40/20% Protein/ carbs/ fats diet ideally.
That would mean that 40% of the meals cals will be carbs/ 40% protein and 20% fats (EFA's). It is really hard to get your diet off the ground as you have to fit it into your lifestyle but it is a must if you want to take it seriously. Many people make this pit fall very early, I have heard "But I work out 5 times a week but have seen NO difference in measurements in my body size". Think of a newborn baby they can have powder mix to make up there bottles, have you ever seen the contents/ingredients of the powder??? Full of the perfet mix for the baby to grow big and strong in there early months.
I could go on all night but my fingers are tiring LOL!!😉

I could easily recommend a 6000 diet of pizza and macdonalds but you arent fueling your body with the correct nutrients it need to grow.
Small meals every 4 hours you need to be aiming for, if you cant acheive that then you need to invest in some supplements to help.
you dont know my metabolism buddy. i eat almost every hour. my diet consists os lots of carbs and proteins i drink a protein shake after every meal. you have to realize i dropped 10 lbs and gained 10 of what i used to be when i was working out. i dont think my routine is crap if i went from 13 inch biceps to 15 in 8 months
p.s. i couldn't do ne workout under my chest except my back. i broke both hips freshmen year and all lower body workouts make them sore and i have to wait till im done growing to do lower body workouts. also i got sick 2 times and both times lost 10 lbs because i lose weight when i can't eat as much as i usually do.
