I'm amazed at all these new beer flavors coming out during every season. I had some kind of pumpkin ale while watchin football this weekend that was delicious. And I'm really getting more into mixed drinks as lager is starting to have a bad effect on my once well muscled stomach, and I have had some good mixes lately.
So please share your interesting ...[text shortened]... nk mixes, whether from the bar (or pub if you prefer), stores or whether you make it yourself.
now, i am drinking a raw egg with black pepper, and hot sauce with a shot of vodka
just to rid myself of this here hangover
My friends and I tailgated for a few hours before the phillies game yesterday, and we decided to do Power Hour. My one friend was responsible for bringing the beer and we were quite upset that the cooler was filled with Twisted Tea, which i had never had. But I must say, it tasted really good and did not bloat any of us. We all made it through Power Hour with 'relative' ease. So I guess I'm sort of recommending it. It's also 5.2% alcohol, but I have a hard time considering it a beer.

bbb is lovely.
the oak ale is just aged in oak casks, isn't flavoured by it IIRC.
Other interesting ales:
Waggledance - honey ale
Fraoch - heather ale
Grozet - gooseberry
Kelpie - seaweed (not tried this, but would like to)
Youngs Double Chocolate Stout (really really really nice).
Frabmoisen (spelling - Raspberry) and the Cherry version too.
