@Suzianne saidTried what? You didn't respond to yourself?
I tried that. When I didn't respond, you shot back with a fivefold increase in your nasty posts to me.
You are the one who needs to get over me.
Fivefold? Maybe I'm not the only one who'd be interested in how that result was calculated.
I wouldn't want to get anywhere near you -- you have a nasty aura about you.
If you're hoping I'll play straight man to you, you might be barking in the wrong dog park.
Maybe preemptively I should mention that if Suzianne were to dedicate this song to me, it would be misdirected and she should turn her amorous attentions elsewhere:
Bonnie Tyler (and Meatloaf) -- Total Eclipse of the Heart
Nevertheless, I do wish her whatever healing can occur on this side of things, believe it or not.
@medullah saidI'll pass old chap. Only really have ears for classical music these days.
I was raised on Reggae and Motown - having rediscovered the former in a big way.
I would recommed Toots and the Maytals for old school reggae, and PM Quinns is relatively new to me, and what's coming out of that channel is just fantastic.
Best song ever written/played
@medullah saidI was born in late 1959 in the USA, in Bradbury country (although I didn't know it yet at the time), so grew up with a mix of fireflies and sparklers in dark blue summer evenings, and playing cards in the spokes of the bicycle wheels during the day, hearing the dry Martian wind through the wires, discovering 793.8, hearing "Sweet Caroline", "In the Year 2525", "American Pie". "If You Could Read My Mind" and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", and "Age of Aquarius" (not to mention "Jeremiah was a Bullfrog" and "Spinning Wheel" ) up to age 12, but some early influences after that were Barry Manilow, The Alan Parsons Project, Al Stewart, and Stevie Wonder. Later it would have been Talking Heads, The Jam, R.E.M., The Screaming Trees, and what have you.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidWhen it comes to "classical" music, I still like Bach's "Air on the G String" and Prokofiev's 5th (especially the recording directed by Ormandy).

What you wrote is interesting to learn and understandable, but I'm not there yet and maybe never will be.
I think that for me at 66, I'd still prefer shorter forms in any style or genre, about 3 or 4 minutes max -- or just whatever ambient sounds of the moment, if my ears are open at the time.
Sorry if these are reposts, and sorry to any of us who would rather just consider the sublime music of the spheres rather than posting low-effort snippy comments on an internet forum, but here are two or three involving Cory Henry and the Funk Apostles and/or Snarky Puppy:

@Suzianne saidYou're the one who searches my post history. I'm not as interested in you as you must hope I would be.

Let's also consider the topic of the thread. Got no music in your head and maybe never did? Then start a new thread if you want to trash me instead of polluting this thread with your personal and juvenile aspersions. No tea for you.
So inconsiderate.
I think I'm listening to the sound of one door closing.
There are some people here whom I'm glad to have "met" -- and some adversarial and false characters as well, with whom my encounters have not been so pleasant.
My subscription will expire on the 21st of February, and I will leave it to the rest of you to "enjoy" the company of such people as Suzianne and Rajk999.
Well, "good night and good luck."

There are many things to dislike about men, but being stupid is fairly unforgivable.
Not that you have any reputation to save.
@Arkturos saidIs this the same person as always harshes on others for revealing personal details?

Yeah, I thought so.
