Portishead: "Dummy"
Dummy.
Almost interesting anecdote:
I got the album when it first came out, having liked the Glory Box single enought to have bought it too. Happily listened to it for 5+ years before I was in Hong Kong and saw it there, with an additional track - "It's a Fire". So I bought it, and that's one of the standout tracks on the album for me - I couldn't believe I'd never even heard of it until that day.
Anyway, now I look at the back of Dummy everytime I see it in a record shop and some copies have the full tracklist (including It's a Fire) and others don't. Only this morning at the Supersized Tesco out by the Ricoh arena, I spotted a copy without It's a Fire.
How odd.

The album's not quite as easy to find over here in the US. I actually heard it in a club and asked the DJ what it was. Bought it the next day. Still one of my all time faves.
Sweet.

Looks like this could become the music association thread!

Edit: This was done before their first album came out.
