Hope she does not charge too much. The plane fare alone would probably break my budget.

Whee! This is really getting exciting! Do you "do windows"? That is my big project right now. Vacuuming up the dead attice flies that breed inside the walls of this ancient house, taping the seams in the casings, and taping plastic over the windows for insulation. I have only three bedrooms, living room, porch, and kitchen windows to do. After you finish those, we will talk about the wheat. I hear that it works good for housecats to eat during the winter. Still with me?

She might change her mind when she reaches North Dakota. It is 14 degrees and the wind was gusting to 40 mph hour yesterday with light snow.

I'm sure you are aware m'lady, that, as your butler I am obligated to perfom any housekeeping services you require. Consider it done, madam.

Gosh, Tom, you sound too good to be true. I finally lamented to an acquaintance over our Scrabble game...the lady who brought the wheat over the other evening. She says she will come and help me. She is the bookkeeper for the grain elevators in a nearby town, so I need to find when she gets a day off work. I just hope she will accept pay. Maybe you can come and repair our garage door. 😀

I have a feeling your cat would rather have a can of tuna fish than a sheaf of wheat.

Strange cat. He won't touch tuna or salmon, only chicken and raw hamburgher. Otherwise it is Meow Mix and grass and the occasional Friskies Treat.

Good for you! You might have gotten sawdust inside the sheets otherwise. Though they might get rid of the bedbugs.
