One does not stick one's cello under one's chin to play it, I mean.
Originally posted by NordlysIt is worth you seeing Nordlys. It's a funny one. The scene I am talking about is some gun fighter tells a cello player to stop showing off and to stick that fiddle under his chin where it belongs. All at the point of a gun. It is funnier when you see it than me trying to explain it. Good comedy.
Am I supposed to read through all that? Can't you just tell me who stuck a cello in xyr throat?
There are some blues and jazz musicians who deserve note. James Blood Ulmer is a very creative guitarist. John Mclaughlin and Larry Coryell are others. But all of them are over 50.
I've heard that Jack White is supposed to be among the leading new guitarists. Perhaps, but that only speaks to the ineptness of rock guitarists today.
I think that the next Jimi will come from the blues. Stevie Ray was comparable to Jimi and that's where he came from.

i don't really like jack white-not my thing. sean watkins, of nickle creek, is a nifty guitar player of todays generation though. plays accoustic guitar in a 3-peice, along side a fiddle and a -erm- banjo...
