Having seen both of them in concert is where I base my opinion. Hendrix as I have said before was glorified partly because of his untimely death and him being Black. I personally think that the guitarist for the Iseley Brothers ( I can't think of his name) was better. Was he a great guitarist? Yes, but to have him rated as the best ever. I don't think so.

Yes, I'm a fan of all of them.

I am only standing up for 'Blazing Saddles' and all the Mongo's of the World. And of course Jimi Hendrix. Your brother Whale hurt Mongo's feelings. He thinks Mongo is sofa King re tar Ted. Mongo doesn't like to be called tar Ted. He doesn't like candy grams either. Your Brother Whale is a Grammar Nazi, who needs his lips stapled to an English Dictionary. So he can live up to his usual stupid tricks. It is good for his image. Of course he could always apologise to Mongo. Mongo is pretty dumb you know.

Not in the time Hendrix was alive he wasn't. Of Course Page did copy Hendrix. Like he copied others on most of his stuff, including Stairway to Heaven. Now he copied well. And he arranged well. But he copied non the less. And was sued for it several times.

As it's not possible to measure a guitarist's ability accurately, all we can say is who we prefer.

I always liked Jeff Beck and Peter Green.

Didn't we have a big discussion about guitarists a week ago? And you don't know who Peter Green is?
