Quite Normal in the Face of Major Change. It's usually a good thing when people blow off some steam. Having done so, with someome listening, they're free to return to their senses. And then, only then, are they able to focus objectively on what needs to be done; how; when; where; and by whom. By definition, no one else can do any of it for them.

The board is bigger and I blunder because I'm used to only looking for enemy attacks in a 100 pixel square and anything outside that swoops in and gets me. And there's a bright green bar when I have games waiting - that's far too noticeable. I hate it. I liked having to look way off to the right and notice that the number was not actually 0 games waiting anymore. Where is the thrill of discovery in having an odious green bar lead me straight to the most important part of the site?!

(I also hate the green bar for messages unread - human contact - ugh.)

And the forum posts wrap the line too soon now. I used to get so much neck exercise scanning the 200+ characters on each line before wrapping. Now my head stays still and my neck is cramping up something awful.

I used to admire RHP's rebellious streak in not supporting drag-and-drop piece movement in spite of normal chess software convention. Now it appears we've fallen in line with the other sheep who want to do things more efficiently.

I will NOT be renewing my subscription (actually - it's set to auto-renew and I'm too lazy to go turn it off - damn.)

All right... all right... but apart from the bigger board, the bright green bars, the forum post improvements, the greater responsiveness, improvements in speed etc what has RHP ever done for us?

The bastards.

"... what has RHP ever done for us?"

What ungrateful words from someone who has been here since 10 Oct '04.
