For example: You walk into a pub or a club for the first time. (Forget the barman or barmaid for this example) Which is the first sex to greet you?

If I walk into a bar or club I get hit on by loads of attractive women.

But when I take my daughter to Playgroup its normally the fathers I talk to.

Polite, or kind-hearted? There is a huge difference. Being polite is mostly concerned with appearances.

I disagree. Certainly there are fake polite people, but being polite means you care enough about an individual or society to show it with your words and behavior.

'to show it'

Like I said...

Yes, there are 'fake' polite people, and there are 'truly' polite people, but all of them are concerned with 'being seen' as being polite.

This rings false to me, but ~ seeing as it's your bog-standard scorn ~ I don't imagine you gave it even a moment's thought before typing it. ๐Ÿ™‚

And yet those with only a modicum of common sense know this to true.
